Winter Palooza 2011

1/22/2011
When I heard Cinderella would be at the Winter Palooza I decided a mother daughter date was in order.  I was right Brecklyn loved seeing cinderella, she went and saw her very first thing and kept wanting to go back and see her.  I let her go two times but by the third time there was a long line and so we just went by her and waved.  Brecklyn went right up to her and said "I love you Cinderella" She was so sweet to her and she loved it!

" Hey mom, lets get into my coach"  At this point she was pretending to be Cinderella and off to the ball we were going.
Brecklyn at first did not want to see Cinderella's step sisters Anesthasia and Drizella but after walking around an seeing them twirl and danceing she wanted to go and talk to them.  They sat right down with her and started talking with her.
Brecklyn has always liked any kind of mascot so we could not pass up taking a picture with the chic filet cow
Look at that face, she did not know what spiderman was doing with his hands to make the webs so this is what it turned out to be lol.
IKEA had some dry earase boards up and Brecklyn sat and drew on them before we left.  Her name started out small but ended with very large letters.  This is a picture of herself.  I am quite impressed because normally a drawing of a person would not be as detailed at the age of three.  Normally the arms and legs come directly out of the head but she includes a body hands, ears and hair.

We were at the winter palooza for four hours, we watched a magic show, a gymnastic demonstration, bounced in the bounce house, went down some slides, looked at the vendors booths, played in a play house, and stood in line to get her face painted.  There was so much more to do but alot of it was not age appropriate so I hope they continue with the winter palooza tradition so we can go back in the future for the other fun activities.

1st Friend Birthday Party

1-15-2011 Happy Birthday Paris, she turned 4.  This is one of Brecklyn's friends from Pre-school.  Brecklyn was pretty shy and so was Paris.  They warmed up and played a little together.  They had good food, fun games, and prizes for the kids.  Brecklyn got Playdough which is one of her favorite things to play with.

Paris shared her birthday party with her sister who is turned 5.

Choo Choo

The winters in Utah make it uninviting to go outside and play so the alternative is to head to the mall!  At the New Gate Mall in Ogden there is a train that runs on wheels that roles around the mall.  Brecklyn loves to go there.  $3 a person can get expensive so next time I will walk along side instead and get a little extra excersize.  This was the first of our two times riding the train this week.  We went with my friend Krystal and her two cute kids.

Here is Brecklyn and Amelia looking out the train as we are making our rounds around the mall.
My cute girls and I on the tarin.  In the blue car of coarse, Brecklyn would not have it any other way.
Cute girls again looking at the camera this time.

We headed over to the play area afterwards and dreopped a couple dollars in quarters to ride the little cars and bought some candy out of the machines.  Overall it was a good outing to get out of the house and play/talk with friends.

STRIKE

The first of the year we took Brecklyn bowling for her first time.  We took her to the bowling alley when she was a baby and she would just look around at all the lights, now she was a big girl and threw, ok only dropped the ball down the lane.  It got caught in the gutter half way down a couple of times.

Here is Brecklyn going to roll the ball for the first time, her dad went up to help her but she was a natural!
She would go and pick up her ball all by herself, wow look at those muscles!

She got tired after only one game but we had paid for two so we bowled until we could no longer take her fit to go in and look at all the games.  We got two free game vouchers because the bowling machine and computer were all messed up all night.  Not sure if I will use them or give them away, I was extrememly dissapointed in Spare time Bowling alley but maybe a second chance is in order since it will be free.

DON'T YOU WISH MY MOTHER WAS HOT LIKE ME

Ok here is my daughter singing her rendition of Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me.  She changes the words and who knows where she got it from, I blame it on pre-school =).  This was what we had for entertainment New Years Eve, and I must say we got some good laughs out of her!  She was dressed in a Snow White Dress up with crown and wand and singing this song multiple times throughout the night.  She is a ham and keeps us smiling.  2010 was a good year but am not sad to let it go.  I am looking forward to 2011.  I have lots to acomplish this year and know it will be an adventure.  I have about 11 lbs to loose to be at my goal weight so what an  appropriate goal for 2011.  So Lady Fitness here I come.  I need to kick it up a knotch and do a little better on my diet and find a time that will better suit me in the winter because since it got so dark 5 am is no longer working for me!!!  I am already ahead this go around.  After Brecklyn I did not get to the weight that I am now until I was done nursing and then I lost 20 lbs in 2 months.  So I am 14 lbs ahead of schedule and only have 4 more months of nursing so I am very optomistic for summer in a swim suit this year!

I ended 2010 a very proud wife!  My husband after 6 years of trying to get him up to the slopes finally gave in.  And what do ya know he actually liked skiing and says he wants to go again real soon!  What a way to end an already good year!

Well I did it.  I have been avoiding this moment for many years, creating a blog lol.  I don't feel I have much of importance to say but here it goes.  If anything I am doing this for me and my family for a record of the fun times that we have and to account for all the blessings and experiences that we come accross in life.  I am no pro when it comes to the computer actually I am quite the opposite, very inexperienced when it comes to technology, shoot my tv still operates on messing around with bunny ears!  But I am here for the long hall and hope to learn as I go.  Please, any tips are greatly appreciated!

I am a happily married woman of 5 yrs 4 months and 4 days.  I have loved every minute of it.  My husband and I compliment each other quite well (ok whos kidding I compliment him very well lol) and have honestly never really been in a fight.  Disagreements sure but those are even few and far between. We love to spend time together, even though it does not happen as much as it used to but I plan to try and change that this next year.  I believe dating while married is just as important if not more so than when you are courting one another.  I just need to practice what I preach a little more!  I love the little things he does, from waking up in the morning and blowing his nose so hard it sounds like an elephant to his routines of shaving, getting dressed, etc.  He sings all the time, cannot kiss me enough (which our daughter Brecklyn always screams at him for doing), and always enlightens me with some type of trivia or knowledge that I have no idea how he knows.   I find myself very lucky to have my Dallas, he is my life and look forward to an eternity of building our relationship

My oldest daughter Brecklyn is one Sassy little girl!  She keeps my smiling and impresses me every day!  She is very smart and tells you like it is.  I am in real trouble with her when she hits puberty!  She already sleeps like a teenager so I don't know what I will do when she actually becomes one =).  She turned 3 on September 18th and knows all her letters, their sounds and knows her numbers from 1-20.  She is working on writing and does very well on being able to write words when I tell her how to spell them.  She writes all of her own words on cards that she likes to make.  She loves Cinderella, Books, Make Believe, Playing in the sand at the park, painting pictures, playing Candy land and other games, and boy I can go on forever!   She is the one person that can make Taylee laugh out loud without trying.  She just goes over to her and stands and will make her laugh.  Which is kinda crazy because most of the time she shows her little attention, I believe out of jealousy.  She keeps me so busy I am always looking for new things to do with her to keep her mind active and her hands busy.

Taylee my little pumpkin she is my precious little baby.  She is so happy, I love it!  She is 7 months old and I am loving every minute!  I believe we will have one more child but I am trying to treat every step as if it is the last time I will have a baby to go through that stage (something I wish I would have done with Brecklyn instead of always wondering how long it will take her accomplish the next big milestone).  She just clapped for the first time the other day and she does it every day not just watching her little hands as they connect and make sound one with another.  She makes the cuttest little sounds and loves to babble.  She can say dada but she only does it when she wants to and not on command =).  She loves her mama and demands alot of my attention.  She does not like to be left alone and likes attention (but who doesn't).  She is so easy going but man when she does get mad she blows up, until she gets what she wants and calms right back down.  Kinda like someone I know, not nameing anyone but lets just say I know her very well.

I love this time of the year.  I always gets me to reflect on my Savior Jesus Christ.  I am the person I am due to the faith that I cherish so dear to my heart.  I believe that my every day decisions leads to and shapes my destiny.  I do believe that faith without our works, service, and charity is dead.  The love of Christ should shine through our souls throughout the year, he needs our hands to do his work!  I in no means believe I am perfect and at this time of the year I reflect on that which I have accomplised to please my Lord and Savior and that which I need to improve on.  I know that Jesus Christ lives!  He was born to Mary and is the Son of God.  He loves us and has us engraven upon his palms and feet. He sends us his tender whisperings of His Spirit to guide us in all we do, if we listen.

The year of 2011 will be a good one  I hope to share my experiences with you this year!
